I appreciate Netflix explaining WHY they don't do half stars, and if that's true (people not rating as much) then DEFINITELY stay how it is.<BR/><BR/>Several, several people have suggested the present star system be renamed, and yet list a very similar method to the way it's labeled now.<BR/><BR/>The one addition I might appreciate though, is the Zero Star. It is better to have half stars (easy to see and count!) rather than 10 stars. I do really want to have such a thing. Sometimes if I have to rate 2 movies which I see over the weekend. I really like both. However, I want the system to know that I like one a little bit over the other.<BR/><BR/>The definitions and functions of the stars should be defined properly (right now, it is not). 3 stars means "Liked it", but if I rate a couple of movies in a genre with 3 stars, no movie in that genre is recommended to me after that!<BR/><BR/>For those people who are happy with the current rating system, we can have the option of turning off the 1/2 stars. It will be the best thing to do. It makes more sense, anyway, since on a 5-star system (2.5 being the midpoint), 2 is <I>below</I> average and 3 is <I>above</I> average.<BR/><BR/>I don't see the logic in labeling something above average as "Just OK" - it seems contradictory.
