Is there a way to browse without box images? It's slow (even on high-speed dsl) to look only at a couple dozen movies on a screen, and then have to load a new page. Can't I get a list, for example, of all view-now tv shows on one screen?

I find it strange that after now 262 comments, and most of them being against the changes made, Netflix has done nothing to change things...

Here's what I do - I to to HOLLYWOOD VIDEO website to see the new releases for the week then come back here and type in the name, add it to the que and move on. I don't have the time to plow through Netflix website anymore - more important things to do.

I hate the new format! I'm thinking of canceling my account because of this crap. I used to like NF, but, it would seem they don't like us. No respect for the customer. I was generally happier with the old format, but the most distressing change for me is the fact that I cannot read the blurb that pops up when I pass the cursor over a film. I can see that the information is there, but the layer is transparent, and all the print under it is visible and competes. It is easier to click on the movie and bring up the screen than to try to decipher the popup. Please return to a popup that is NOT transparent.

When I hold the cursor over a film, I can no longer read the information about that film. The blurb comes up, but it is on a transparent layer, so that I cannot distinguish the letters from the original layer. I agree with others who complain that every web change makes the site less user friendly. I would also add that I miss the New This Week feature.

AMAZING to see so many other folks with the same problems re: wait time. Let's get this through our heads that NETFLIX doesn't care!!
I, too, have my queue messed with often, even though the totally unreliable and untrained customer service reps. say it is impossible. I offered to send a photo I took of my queue on a Monday with the changes Netflix made on Tuesday and they weren't interested.

And the deal about not being Mac compatible! Ridiculous again. The promise in the promotion of having "quick turnover", "access to the latest movies" "instant viewing"......joke!

Why are you folks bothering with this? You know there is no intention to follow up with any of it!
Anyone else out there fed up with putting a movie in your queue BEFORE it is even released in the theaters and then being on the ridiculously "LONG WAIT" list, supposedly no more than 14 days?? What a joke. Two of the movies I am waiting for are now at Wal-Mart at a discounted price!
Quit wasting time and money trying to jazz up your website and purchase enough movies to serve your customers! Another suggestion: train your customer support personnel to actually perform customer service rather than read off of computerized prompts. Rude and unacceptable behavior so many times. You are losing customers with this long long long long wait bit you have us believing. Ridiculous. Everyone: check out the Blockbuster program: better deals, better selection, turn around time is instant, and the wait times are short.

I like the wider page, but really wish you'd stop trying to force-feed us movies -- now bigger, bolder, and more in-our-face than ever -- that some maths genius has determined we'd like. I mean, let's get real here : it's in no way, shape or form a 'browse page', just another 'movies you'll love' page. Sorry, make that : MOVIES YOU'LL LOVE!!!!.

Ideally, a browse page would provide imaginative and varied ways to explore the full extent of that massive inventory of yours, as if one were wandering around a wonderfully stocked book store, rather than just having 26 titles thrust in our face every time we visited. That's just ANNOYING!

I was on hold for 3 months and came back today, but not for long!! They created a stupid home page and I was NOT interested in any one of the movies they put on it. NOT one!
But the movies stay there anyway...They must be pushing movies that they want to rent for some reason.
The site is much harder to navigate and a lot of old garbage movies come up.
I hate it and will not be a customer much longer.

Glad to see I'm not crazy... looks like other people agree with my critique of the new format. I've never been so confused by a regression in intuitive design.

The presentation of new releases is just painful, akin to waiting for a web page load on a dial-up modem - click next, wait for a couple movies to scroll, click next, wait for a couple more to come up. That type of design causes seizures of impatience for people who are used to scanning text quickly. And if I want to go back to something that looked interesting, I've got no reference point.

Hey Netflix - people like options. Give us the chance to customize the home page. It's that simple. I keep looking for the button to turn off those stupid friend messages / welcome notes when I first login. I cringe in pain every time I get a javascript popup, after I add a movie to my queue. Just let me turn all the new functionality off under my profile, show me simple lists, and I'll be happy.

I would like to know why it is Netflix does not carry enough copies of a given film or movie. At least ten of the titles in my queue have 'a very long wait' next to them.

Wow! Cranky people!

I like the white space - can't stand crowded pages. My suggestions are:

1. Make it easier to find my reviews

2. Allow me to sort by title in the View Instantly section. Drives me nuts to have to click through to find the right season, for example, of a TV series. If they could be sorted alpha by title, it would be easy to watch them in order. If I do a search to find a specific series and click on the results, I don't have the option of picking the episode. My workaround is to go to my viewing history and click on the latest of that title but that only works within the season.

I really don't know where you're coming from with these recommendations, I think they suck - many are not "new" at all. WHAT the heck, my personalizations are gone, I can't even tell what movie is coming out when as the "new releases" are not uhm, new. I do not enjoy this new design. And I'm pretty sure a good majority will agree with me. Stop trying to get flashy, Netflix is better than blockbuster online, it just takes a little while for people to realize this.
