Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared arrives in the US and Canada

Like a unicorn or a jackalope, if you are one of those mystical creatures that breezed through high school socially unscathed, this is of no concern to you.

READ NO FURTHER.

For the rest of us, the wait is over. Whether you’re more at home playing Dungeons & Dragons with the A / V Club or smoking on the patio, be you a mathlete, or a cheerleader - it’s 1980, and school is officially in session at McKinley High!

Profoundly honest, heartbreaking and hopeful, Freaks & Geeks became an instant cult classic with its triumphant single season.

Available now for the first time to Netflix subscribers in the US and Canada – experience the genius brainchild of Judd Apatow and Paul Feig. The Emmy-winning show assembled a perfect cast; launching the careers of James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, Ben Foster, John Francis Daley and Busy Philipps to name a few.

Ah, and the music! Never has a show been scored to a more epic soundtrack: Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Cream, Rush, Joe Jackson, Supertramp, XTC, Queen, Joan Jett, Billy Joel, KISS, Journey, Bowie, The Who, The Cars, Jethro Tull, The Grateful Dead. . . . the list seriously goes on and on.

Once you’ve graduated from High School, jump into Judd Apatow’s vision of college life with Undeclared starring Jay Baruchel & Seth Rogen.

Enjoy!!

Teenage Dream TV on Netflix Now!

From fashion and feuding to vampires and choir kids, we’ve expand our US offering to include even more great TV for teens, tweens, and anyone else looking for a guilty pleasure (and who isn’t?).

Catch up with Serena and Blair on Season 5 of Gossip Girl, just added to Netflix starting today. Will Blair marry Louis or is Chuck the one? Watch and find out! If high society isn’t your thing, how about heading down to Bluebell, Alabama with ex-New Yorker Dr. Zoe Hart in the new series Hart of Dixie, also available starting today. For our loyal OTH fans, say goodbye to Haley, Brooke, Nathan and the rest of the gang on October 1st, when the final season of One Tree Hill hits Netflix. If vampires are more your game, Elena, Stefan, and Damon are back in Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries, available now to watch instantly. And who could forgot everyone’s favorite glee club? Not us! Season 3 of the hit show Glee begins streaming October 13th.

Still not enough for you? Already available to stream instantly are brand new series Ringer and The Secret Circle, as well as Season 4 of 90210 and Supernatural: Season 7.

One more thing! If you need a break from all that TV, you'll see that Mean Girls, Mean Girls 2 and Clueless have each been added to our movie selection this month.

Enjoy!

New Netflix Experience on Android Phones

The wait is over. Today I am happy to announce the release of a completely new Netflix experience for Android-powered phones.

More and more of you use Netflix on mobile devices every day. Millions of Netflix members already use their smartphones to instantly watch movies and TV shows anywhere, anytime.

We are always working to improve the experience so Netflix members discover more great titles and watch more.

Compared to the previous version, the new Netflix experience on Android phones is much more immersive. You will see many more titles and galleries than we have ever shown before on a smartphone. It is much closer to the Netflix experience on tablets, which got a major upgrade late last year.

At the top of the new browse screen on Android phones is a row that lets you continue watching shows or movies that you previously started watching right where you left off, a very handy feature. The Instant Queue, available in some regions, is presented on the Home screen just below your Top 10 list. Lower down in the new experience are several personalized rows filled with movie and TV show recommendations.

Tapping the browse menu gives you access to an extensive list of genre galleries that show even more titles organized into categories. Parents--like me--will really appreciate the children and family gallery with many titles organized by age.

A simple tap on any title presents all of the information for that title and a double-tap on any title starts instant playback. Also, search is available everywhere in the application, so you can always find what you are looking for.

The new Netflix experience is available for Android devices using Gingerbread and newer operating systems. Download the new Netflix Android phone experience today at Google Play.
