More MTV Networks Content

Hi, Cindy Holland, VP Content Acquisition, here. Starting today, we are bringing you some great new shows and additional seasons of favorites from Viacom’s family of cable channels. From Nickelodeon, now available to watch instantly for the first time is “Yo Gabba Gabba,” as well as additional episodes of “Spongebob SquarePants,” "True Jackson VP," “iCarly,” and “Dora the Explorer."

From MTV, new episodes of “Jersey Shore” and “The Hills” are on Netflix as are, for the first time, “The Buried Life” and “The City.” We also have new shows from BET like “American Gangster,” additional episodes of Comedy Central gems like “The Sarah Silverman Show,” and all kinds of fun TV from VH1, Logo and Spike.

We’re pleased to be able to offer programs to suit different ages and tastes and, as always, remain committed to bringing you more great TV shows and movies to watch instantly when and where you prefer.

Cindy

  1. I know this has been mentioned several times before but it would be nice if you'd say if this is for US & Canada or just for the US.

  2. These are all crap shows. Why not add some good stuff like Carol Burnette, Dean Martin, other oldies, or the HIMYM and even the original 90210 series. Would love to see CBS/NBC/ABC series added.

  3. How about shows like "The Daily Show", "Colbert Report" and "Tosh.0"?

  8. @Yardie, those shows all have full episodes on their websites.

  9. These shows are poison. I couldn't agree more with a previous poster about Carol Burnette and other GREAT older shows, as opposed to the garbage that MTV networks produces.

  10. Those are the kind of shows that drove me away from TV

  11. Does this mean we will see Season 3 of Hey Arnold! sometime in the near future?

  19. I have had your service since you started and love it.I was hoping you could get into the soap viewing business and save All My Children and One Life To Live.I won't be going to ABC except for General Hospital(I feel they are going to cancel). So please think hard about it.

  20. Would like season 6 of Weeds. The Sopranos would be awesome too.

  21. I guess I'm the only one who says... "THANK YOU!" Thanks for continuing to add new stuff. People are so whiney, I can't stand people sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm so glad you're adding quality content like all the great new shows from AMC, such as Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead.

Oh wait, what? You're not adding any of those shows to watch instant? You're adding Jersey Shore instead? JERSEY SHORE?! I'd rather dunk my head in a sewage tank and watch the microbes eat my cornea.

    ReplyDelete
  23. would it be possible to be able to search by network (tv station)

    ReplyDelete
  24. i want to see more older show from nickolodeon. like hey arnold rugrats and doug. i know there is two of the three but put more on here. oh and i love lucy would be nice too.

  25. These comments crack me up. You all do realize there is copyright involved in all of this. They can't just grab what ever they want and throw it on there. I'm sure that they are working hard to get us everything they can to watch.

I agree with the anon comment. A few more thank you's for the hard work it takes to accomplish this at would be nice. A whole lot less whining.

    Thank you Netflix!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree and List of the shows available would be awesome. I forget the shows from last season that i would Love to see.

    ReplyDelete
  27. How about some of the Star Trek stuff (the real Star Trek, not that crap from 2009) or some different episodes of Doctor Who?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thank you so much Netflix! I may not be a fan of the MTV shows recently added, but your instant view has introduced me to SO many series that I had never heard of! LOVE LOVE LOVE Netflix!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Would love to see older shows such as I Love Lucy, Bonanza, Ed Sullivan & The Honeymooners. Would also like to know if Canadians will soon have access to some new releases.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Stream MXC from Spike! And please stream Game of thrones from HBO.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fantasy Island! BJ & the Bear! Blakes Magic, M*A*S*H, etc...

    ReplyDelete
  32. i very much agree with @Raymond. it's disappointing that things like kai-lan and oswald are just gone now.

also, i am soon moving overseas, and it would be great if you guys could get service running in australia soon!

    ReplyDelete
  33. what happened to kai-lan and oswald!!!???
my kids like tat, they don't need four seasons of dora to replace a single season of the others!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Every season of law and order svu is already on Netflix so it doesn't matter what shitty shows you add I'm happy!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why did you take away Family Guy, Beavis and Butthead and American Dad???? We were watching them everyday and they're now gone :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. Why is King Of The Hill gone now?? Im sad..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Crappy gay shows get some real content!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Ed says what I wish I had thought of... Well done. The trash on VH1 and MTV are not welcome here.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thank you for continuing to add additional content. While most of what you mentioned isn't on my watch list, I have found TONS of great shows by using your service. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jesus. What's with all the smug douche baggery in the comments? Good on you netflix. The more content the better!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I remember reading a few months ago that Star Trek the shows would be added, any idea when that will happen? I'm glad of the new content but most of the new stuff isn't aimed toward non fluff watching 20 somethings.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks Netflix! Thanks to you we cancelled our dish last week and have not missed it at all. I wonder why all the complainers have not cancelled their Netflix if they are not happy?? Netflix offers a wide variety of choices for 8.99 a month. What more can we ask for?

    ReplyDelete
  43. You mean you are only adding crap shows that other people are requesting and not the crap shows I like to watch? WAHHH!

Thats what the majority of you sound like. At least they are adding new content and trying to get current shows up there. Copyrights are not easy to get around-if you want to see something up there email them instead of whining here.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Don't like how Netflix keeps messing with the layout of the 'menu'. Liked it how it was last. Just leave it alone!!!

As far as content. While the selection is good, and getting better with additions such as this. It would be better if you could group shows together by original network.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'd love to see 1985 Otherworld TV series.

    ReplyDelete
  46. At the risk of everyone replying with a collective "DUH"; it sure does appear that Netflix is abandoning DVDs especially for TV shows. I used to use this link http://www.netflix.com/AllNewReleases?lnkctr=NavAllNewReleases to each Sunday to review the new releases and easily add new items to my queue. Those days are obviously numbered.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with a lot of the comments, especially Paddington. We as adults are the ones paying for Netflix so give us more of what we can enjoy and that will include the oldies. The children have enough to watch and do not need to do any catching up or reminiscing as of yet. However we do need to share the classics with them so that they can see "real" tv and "real" acting.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am so disappointed that I see so much complaining on here. I for one would like to say "THANK YOU!" I am always pleased to see newly added shows and movies even if it's not what I may be interested in. I usually end up watching these shows I have never seen before and then enjoying them. Please tell Netflix "thank you" instead of complaining about what they do or do not add. I am all up for suggestions of shows and movies to be added but some people are just being rude and mean.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I agree, I would love to see more CBS/NBC/USA/TNT shows. NCIS. NCIS LA. Burn Notice. White Collar. Leverage. Hawaii 5-0 those type of shows

    ReplyDelete
  50. How about some of the old Honeymooners or Amos & Andy!

    ReplyDelete
  51. To the people who say we should be thankful....we PAY for this so I think we have every right to be pissed at the crap they are adding, I would LOVE to see more BBC comedies added, but hey I just pay for this, what do I know?

    ReplyDelete
  52. please bring some E.R to netflix its a great show from nbc

    ReplyDelete
  53. Glad to see you're continuing to expand your instant library.
    some suggestions:
    JAG
    Gilmore Girls
    Who's Line is it Anyway?
    More Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks animated movies

all of these are things available for DVD, but I don't have time to wait for DVDs to show up. I love instant streaming. Was nice to find things like Angry Beavers and Hey Arnold though. I love being a 90s kid :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. so i don't care about any of those shows but i would like to see netflix produce ne episodes of the Event.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I can't say I'm much of a fan of the new additions, but luckily, there are still thousands of other choices. Obviously, those MTV network shows have viewers, or they wouldn't be produced and distributed. Considering that most of the viewers of those shows are about to start summer vacation, the timing makes perfect sense. After all, Netflix is a business.

For people wanting older shows, they recently added Mission Impossible, Hawaii 5-0, and the Twilight Zone. Those will probably keep me busy for quite awhile.

I also want to thank you for upping the camp/bad movie selection for those of us who enjoy movies that are so bad they are good. We can not wait to see the cinematic atrocity that is "Shark Attack 3" when it hits on June 1. If you could get your hands on "Starcrash" and "Megaforce", that would be the trifecta!

    ReplyDelete
  56. also, changing the search function to allow us to filter out DVD options and only see instant streaming would be a great addition. I can't tell you how many times I've searched a title, been excited to see it listed, then realized it is only available on DVD. bummer =/

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sapphireblu, I agree with you. I would love to see some Carol Burnett shows on Netflix, but since they run their own infomercials to sell *snippets* of the full shows on DVD (where it appears they are holding tight onto their copyright), I doubt that's going to happen. Those were the good days of TV watching, and I'd like to share that with my kids. Too bad I can't find the VHS tapes my mom made.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I do not like some of the shows added. But, there are a couple shows that I like. I do miss watching Leave it to Beaver , Kate & Allie, and Bugs Bunny. BUT, I notice how much cable crap I am sickened by.

  59. Sick and tired of being outside your target audience, which is apparently 15 to 25 year old sexually repressed gore mongers. The volume of T&A,sophmoric slasher movies, and "B" movies(called "cult favorites" by Netflix) so grossly outweighs any substantive content that it leaves me wondering if the monthly dues wouldn't be better spent at Wal-Mart digging through the bargain bin.And now MTV! WOW! I haven't had this many brain cells die since my 21st birthday.I wonder,in such difficult financial times if it is a sound business plan to focus on an audience that doesn't pay it's own bills.KNOCK OFF THE GROPE & GROSS or we(the older, bill paying clientele) will take our money back to the bargain bin,and good luck hitting your sales metrics when the beer & boobies crowd is your ONLY audience.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hey Netflix...why not ask us, your paying customers what we would like to see instead of pushing out more garbage? Who cares about MTV and the crap they produced? And another thing,DVDs are dying breed; streaming is what Netflix does best so start streaming more movies and sooner. It sucks waiting 2-6 months for a movie to be available via streaming.

  63. Are there any talks with CBS or NBC? I would like to see Criminal Minds, CSI....

  64. Since the website is NOT USER FRIENDLY, I decided to leave my comment here, maybe it will get to the right place, maybe not, anyway... Why are there one or two actual new releases in the "new release" list of movies, most of the 50 are 10 years old, some are even older, I don't know how often it is updated but seriously the choices could be A LOT BETTER.

    ReplyDelete
  65. IE9 detects no RSS feed for this blog, unlike the Tech Blog, which uses its Blogspot address, whereas this one is redirected from a netflix.com subdomain.

  66. How about you add chuck to instant streaming already!

  67. 2 things:

1: Please add a 'Kids Movies' or Family Movies' filter option under the instant watch family/kids catagory!!! - There's a filter for Kids' TV, but no way to look at just the movies without all the TV shows. -Really tedious right now trying to browse for a good kids movie with all the TV shows cluttering up any given filter option.

2: How is it possible that Spider-man does not show up at all under the instant watch 'Super Hero's/Comic Book' filter under Action/Adventure - either it's tagged wrong or your filter is messed up.

    Thanks.

  71. I'd trade Jersey Shore, and all MTV shows really, for NCIS on Instant Watch.

    ReplyDelete
  72. thats cool, but when will yuou have Fraiser available to watch instantly. You have Cheers available and since Frasier was a srin off i figured that it would be availale also.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thats good that you are getting more content available, but when will you have Frasier available to watch instantly. Cheers is already available and since Frasier was a spin off that was very popular I figured that you would have it available as well.

    ReplyDelete
  74. You're adding all the crap that turned me off TV in the first place! I know this is a child centered society but how about remembering those of us over 40 who would like quality and aren't so interested in quantity?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Behind the Music please

  76. Don't know where to leave this comment so send it where it needs to go. I use Roku a lot and find trying to find a program I've added to be daunting at times. When I remove a program from my queue it remains as does every other program I've deleted along with many I never added in the first place so that the whole presentation is disorderly and confusing. I liked the old way better--movies in order, ones deleted stay deleted, no "suggestions" from you to add to the confusion. I love Roku, don't like the table of contents for the movies I've chosen--and not chosen.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Sweet, more content that us Canadians will never get to see, unless of course, it's easy to negotiate the contracts with.

Spend some time on Canada's selection please, get more content, more series from the cables and broadcast.

Also, modern shows would be appreciated. I love the netflix price and model, but I hate the Canadian Netflix selection.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Those are good shows. Thanks!

  79. A friend gave me a discount card. I told him I looked at this website before and I thought it was funny you could not see your whole library. He told me to give it a try. I come on and it's just like before. You click on browze, selectr a genre and you show 8-9 videos. I started searching for titles. Nothing came up streaming. Sorry, I flipped that discount card in the trash. It may be worht it to some people but it is not worth it to me.

    ReplyDelete
  80. So glad yo gabba gabba was added, but what happened to Oswald? This is my 2-year old's favorite and we were very disappointed to see it removed from streaming! We primarily have netflix for the steaming childrens content - please put Oswald back!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Somebody mentioned "New To Instant Queue" RSS feed.

Where? I don't typically use RSS. I tried the main netflix blog page and don't see it there either.

  82. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Hey as long as you're expanding your MTV collection, can you add the "True Life" series???

    ReplyDelete
  84. For those of you who are upset that Oswald is no longer available on Netflix, just watch it on Nick Jr. --- are you forgeting it's still available on the actual channel?!!

  85. I was a customer several years ago ... way before the online viewing was even possible...

A few weeks ago I signed up again because of the ability to watch movies online (and, It's pretty cool watching them in my iPad).

However, there are WAY too many movies that are not available for online viewing (Physical DVD only) and this has been a bit of a bummer for me.

I hang around for a while until I watch everything I can find "Online" that I like.

It seems that every movie I "SEARCH" to watch online (that actually means about half) is "not available". Hope this changes soon.

    Just giving you feedback.

    Thanks!

    Gary.

  86. Hi. There seems to be no way to report a title that won't start streaming on the Netflix website (an oddly obvious omission, it seems), so I am posting the notification here: the film "Funny Games" will not start playing. Other titles stream with no problem. "Funny Games" has not been streaming for over five days now. Just letting you know. (Also, don't you think it would be convenient to have a "report problem streaming" option on the website?)

    ReplyDelete
  87. 1407 titles on Netflix Canada
I think us Canadians need some more love. I am a fan but am starting to see way too many low rate movies. Local cable is offering a similar service for 12 a month with newer movies. Time to get serious before you start loosing us Canadians.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Can you please bring the same content to Canada? The section for my country is absolute garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Glad to see all the efforts to add content. Thanks!

As a SciFi fan, I have to mention how there are fewer and fewer sources for quality science fiction. The networks continually fail in every way with this genre (think Firefly, The Event, Stargate Universe, etc). It's time for these shows to find a new delivery mechanism.

If Netflix had a "SciFi package" I'd pay extra just to see good SciFi have a fighting chance. I think others would too. Just look at the Facebook page for The Event - over 300k followers! I believe there were far more viewers than NBC's craptastic rating info reflected.

I only ask you give it some thought. Thanks!

  91. NEW YORK and CUPERTINO, California—June 29, 2006—MTV Networks and Apple® today announced that new television programming from Spike TV, Nick at Nite, TV Land, Logo, MTV and The N is now available on the iTunes® Music Store (www.itunes.com). Adding to the hit MTV Networks content already on iTunes, this new round of programming available for purchase and download crosses virtually every genre and includes Spike TV’s brand-new action series ”Blade: The Series,” MTV's prank-comedy show “Viva La Bam” and TV Land’s “Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg.” MTV Networks’ programming has been a huge success on iTunes since debuting earlier this year, with COMEDY CENTRAL’s “South Park” alone selling over one million episodes.

  96. PLEASE BRING OSWALD BACK! Someone mentioned being able to watch episodes on the nick jr website, but all I can find are 4 clips 3-4 minutes each. That is NOT the same as watching all of the full episodes streaming from netflix on your TV!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Seriously, why is there no way to report problems on your website? Insane. My instant queue went empty, all of my instant view movies are showing unavailable. Please restore the ability to stream movies.

    ReplyDelete
  98. While I am happy you are adding new shows like "Yo Gabba Gabba", I am very disappointed to be losing "Oswald" and "Ni Hao Kai-lan." Please consider bringing these programs back!! We have Netflix primarily for our children and it is sad to lose such quality television shows.

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's a shame Netflix announcement are so ambiguous...They need to spend more time analysing what to convey in their blog. On that note, why is there no forum or such to leave suggestions and comments.

The greatest travesty (clearly from my point of view) is the seemingly complete disregard for Canadian customers. You need to spend less time getting really old shows/movies and spend time focusing on quality shows.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I would like to echo what others have said about the selection for Canada. We are seriously lagging behind. I hate seeing what the US gets to watch, knowing that I probably won't ever see it come to my service.

  101. To Cindy, VP Acquisitions
I'm very excited about the development of Netflix and how fast it has been able to adapt to the desires of its consumers. I think the company can't help but keep growing and I hope that in future years it will expand to offer its own content. Many amazing shows are being dropped by networks (The Chicago Code, for one) and I'm sure Netflix has the talent on staff to carve itself another niche.

    ReplyDelete
  102. i love it, ill never get rid of my netflix. This just shows netflix is still growing and has lots of room to grow

    ReplyDelete
  103. agree with Paddington...also I think more shows from Food Network would be a big hit. I personally love to watch Food Network because, being a mother of four, and wife, I am always looking for new ideas and ways to cook. They really make it fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Could you please look into getting more Hammer Horror movies? Specifically Christopher Lee as dracula. Thank you!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. yawn....how about you add some quality films??

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's always good to see new acquisitions on netflix, but I was wondering whether you can acquire the original Walt Disney's Zorro television series from 1957-1959.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I left this suggestion at Netflix's SuggestionBox, but wasn't sure that it was "official" in that Netflix associates actually checked it. Anyway, I watch a lot of television shows using Netflix's Instant Streaming and it becomes rather tedious to have to fast-forward through their intros with every episode. I was thinking that maybe Netflix should add an option/ability to skip the intros to these shows. This would be easy to implement with shows that have the title-sequence at the start of every episode and would just require someone to time how long that sequence takes on any given series and perhaps add a button that skips right to the "action" to the bar already containing the pause/skip/etc. buttons, and on consoles maybe make the skip button do the same when the intro is playing.

Just something that I thought would definitely make Netflix's already incredible streaming service even more streamlined and appealing to users.

    ReplyDelete
  108. There should be an option for movies you own. I don't want to click that I am not interested in a movie that I own, since I own it I am interested in it, but neither do I want it in my suggestions. I know this must have been suggested before.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Cindy, Netflix customer here. Not sure if the rumors are true, but I am a big "The Event" fan. If you guys can acquire a second season of that, I would just love you.

  110. I was crushed last night while getting ready to do my daughter's nebulizer for an asthma flare-up to discover that Oswald was no longer on. It disappointed her and me. 112. Speaking of tv shows on instant...

Until about a month ago (I think), my Netflix home page showed "Recently watched" which was great for watching television series because I could just click to watch the next episode from there.

It disappeared and is super inconvenient now to have to search for the show and figure out which episode I'm on.

I know theres "Instant Watching History" but that doesn't have the option to click on next episode.

Is that a feature I can control? If not, please bring back "Recently Watched" to the Instant page!

    ReplyDelete

Please Cindy, please work on bring the other shows back.

  120. When will ER be available on live streaming?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Hi! R.L. Baker Photographers mate, U.S. Navy (ret) here. You have the series of Winds of War but I don't fine the second and last part of the story, War and Rememberence, could that be somewhere in the future for your collection? Thank you.

  122. Why are so many movies on DVD only? With mailing/wait time and the hassle of keeping track of discs, wouldn't it be more convienient for both your staff and your customers if you made all titles available for online viewing? Plus isn't that the reason Netflix was started...to be more convenient than going to the video store???

    Thanks

  139. I was pretty frustrated about no more Oswald from Nic Jr. However, since I just spent 25 min looking for an email to contact you and voice my concern I am just flat out upset. I like Netflix but don't have to have it. I now view your don't contact us business modle just like AOL. Rethinking working with your company which is a shame because I have sold many on your concept.

  141. PLEASE ADD MORE CONCERTS AND ROCKUMENTARIES TO THE STREAMING CONTENT. PLEASE. SERIOUSLY.

    ReplyDelete
  142. CONCERNS: Let me first say, I enjoy the Netflix content, I am a streaming subscriber and I hold a position on Netflix (investor).

First, why is there NOT a feed back link somewhere while logged into my Netflix account? Not a complaint, just a question.

Second, I am concerned. You guys at Netflix got any 20 or 30 something V.P. who's making decisions over there, because I think that maybe helpful? I was under the impression and I've boasted to other's that Netflix moving to streaming only will very shortly allow for on-demand streaming (rent via streaming) at a premium of course to both it's streaming customers and to other folks that just wanted to watch a movie without going to Blockbuster because you guy put them out of businesses(and hoped you guys would even give out some content for free streaming to attract customers). I just figured it was a matter of time you guys would get into this space. I am now concerned. Why haven't Netflix started charging for movies, on demand, like many others in this space (amazon, youtube, etc. etc). More options is better. Please don't loose out to these other guys. Thanks.

  145. I would like to see more of The lost tapes and more Animal planet Shows, I have no interest in watching MTV shows, Rich Women reality shows or TV that lessens the perspective of what really matters in this life, Not drama crap, I deal with that everyday. This is coming from a mom and a teenager.

  153. This has been fun.

I have tried for a couple hours to try Netflix. I signed up and they took my Credit Card. Every time I try to get the code from the Roku and put in netflix, it doesn't work. One time Netflix said complete, but Roku has not worked.

Talked to Roku, and they said the problem was on Netflix side. Tried to talk to Netflix, but only way is to call. Got a message to call back another time. That's a big help. At least Roku would talk to me.

Does this thing really work or is it just a scam?

  154. What I'm concerned with is that many movies that are out on DvD are not available at all for mailing.

Specifically, shows such as Super Hero Squad disc 2 and 3, not only are they not on Netflix, but there is no placeholder for them. Other shows, such as Iron Man: Armored Adventures, you have sewason 1 for mailing, but season two can only be streamed.

Is this the future direction? That you simply are not going to purchase movies on DvD for mailing on your service, and you are phasing out the mialing service in favor of streaming?

I am concerned because the quality of your streaming feed is very poor, and at times very choppy as well. When I want to watch a movie, I don't enjoy watching a slideshow on my screaming broadband connection and bleeding edge computer.

Let me put it another way. Continue to allow your selection and quality to deteriorate, and watch as I and my friends drop your paid service entirely in favor of hulu and Redbox. If you have no intention of obtaining DvDs for mailing that are a year old, why keep paying you?

    ReplyDelete
  155. I'm still trying to figure out why my ENTIRE streaming queue has been re-ordered! There is not one single title that is in the order that it originally was. Anyone else have this problem. It really irks me because I had the films that I watch most frequently at the top, so when I view them through my blu-ray player, I didn't have to scroll threw the entire list to get to them. Now I don't even know where they are at on the list! Thanks for that headache, Netflix.

  156. I would like to see NETFLIX become the leader in the future of entertainmment. Networks are going by the way side. We like to watch our shows on our schedule not theirs. I hope the rumors are true and NETFLIX pics up THE EVENT from its canceled satus, and NETFLIX can include V to that. They are the only 2 Network shows my household watched this season. And we usually watched them by DVR or on hulu. The public wants a good line up of shows but not dictated by the networks.

    ReplyDelete
  157. your full of crap netflix. Your shutting out instant play movies of some of the better stars so you can force us to pay for premium service.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Cindy, I'm sending my feedback here as Netflix doesn't appear to have a contact form available for users. I just wanted to let you know that I just created a new account and your service would not let me play ANY movie. I've tried playing on both computers I have and it would still not work.

I contacted customer service and all they told me was that my computers have problems. Guess what, my itunes and hulupro never had any issues. What's going on? I asked them to cancel my account but was that I would not be refunded - even if I had not watched a single movie. What a terrible experience.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Why can't members suggest or request unavailable titles on their account page? You tease us with one or two seasons of series that have up to ten seasons. Especially UK and Australian productions. I also agree with adding older TV shows (Paddington).

    ReplyDelete
  160. I don't think most of you realize that Netflix is at the mercy of the people that OWN the programs & movies. They can only add what they are given permission to add.

  161. I really love Netflix instant watch via Wii, it is so convenient and well...instant!! I told everyone I knew about it and they've signed up!! (I asked them for a referral fee but they looked at me strangely)
Anyway, I understand why the newer releases would be on DVD but can Netflix put on instant watch more older and classic movies like Stephen King's Christine and all Alfred Hitcock's movies etc. I'm not a fan of Netflix DVD...I don't like to wait days for them. #instant gratification
    Thanks!!!

  162. Hello, I de-activated and re-activated Netflix from my Roku (several times this morning!) - because this morning (5-29-11, 10:30am pacific time, approx.) my Roku was somehow removed from my Netflix account. The only Netflix thing my Roku will display is my Netflix instant queue. If anyone is telling you this is all fixed, that is not accurate information, because as of right now as I post this (11:02am, 5-29-11, pacific time) it is not fixed! Roku support forums confirm that this is a major problem today and needs to be fixed. Thanks.

  165. Just to let you know as of July, you'll be losing 1 Canadian customer. The anime that we are so graciously allowed is dubbed in English, making it unwatchable.

Every single show I have so far looked up returns a result with the following, "This title is not available". First why list it?
Second, why in hell would I want to watch Canadian dramas when I'm looking for something good to watch. "You might be interested in watching Heartland"!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????? Uh... no. Despite being filmed in my own back yard, it's a piece of shit show not even suitable for a trash bin. Even worse is "Republic of Doyle". Unfortunately there was no way to give those 2 titles a 0 or a -1 star.

At the moment 1 out of 10 shows/movies are worth watching.. the rest is bargain bin filler. Sure, I really really want to watch Cliffhanger and some movie about some Princess in modern day US trying to save a horse from an evil carnival owner.

I've had Netflix, since March and I think I've only seen 5 to 10 titles at best added.

The biggest slap in the face was when I searched for Reboot episodes..."this title is not available" Wait? What the hell!? Since when would that show of all shows not be available to us Canadians.

I seriously feel like I'm being punished for being a Canadian. You taunt us with all the titles that you do have, but, we're simply not allowed to watch.

I hope Netflix Canada will be replaced soon by a better company that treats Canadians and what they want to watch with respect.

    Thank you for your time.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Hello,

I just wanted to say thank you for the great titles that you make available to us. It's a shame that so many people freely criticize what IS available when a) free trials are available to see if it's a worthwhile investment, b) so few actually understand studio distribution rights and contracts, and c) it's less than ten bucks a month! Come on people.. if you don't like it then don't buy it, and go back to the hassle of $3 or $4 per rental from a central store.

Off the soapbox.. perhaps new seasons of Dexter, or House M.D. on instant queue?? :D Looking forward to the future of the company, and seeing what else comes out! Thank you again!

    ReplyDelete
  167. To Caah...first of all in case you forgot, it is WE, the customers that dictate supply and demand in the economy. It is we who know what we want and should be able to express that to companies so they may be reminded at times, "the customer is always right". Another reminder, here is a direct quote from netflix on this blog..."We hope this will be a great forum for us to talk about what we are doing, and for you to tell us what you think." Whether its $8 or $50 a month, in this economy, money is money. There is a huge difference between critisizing and giving valuable feedback. Im sure if a company authorizes netflix to rent their movie on DVD format then the permission carries over to Streaming. My problem is with their streaming selection not dvd.

  169. I watched the first three seasons of Da Vinci's Inquest, the crime drama from Canada, and I think it is the best crime drama I have seen. It is far superior to anything Hollywood puts out. Please tell me you are working on getting the rest of the seasons, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Nicolas Campbell is great as the coroner and the rest of the cast are all very good too. I'm addicted. I notice from the other reviews many other people are too. This is a five star product. Please do what you can!!

I'm not sure how to suggest a movie that's not in the library, but here goes: Tribes (TV, 1970. IMDb #0066490). One of the standout TV movies from my childhood, starring Jan-Michael Vincent as a hippie drafted into the Marine Corps and Darren McGavin as his drill instructor. If there's a better way to submit this suggestion, please contact me through my Netflix account. Thx

  180. Ok look instantly unlimited access is a crock I NEED NEW SELECTIONS BETTER ACCESS I've had the same selection options for over 3 months now and I would say 9/10's of them are from the 1980's or later and when I do get a "new" ( meaning more 1980 sh*t or older) I watch one of the new movies and wham back to the old selection again I'd say the "instantly unlimited access" is false advertising and I'm almost sure the BBB would love to hear this ... and how ironic my word verification is "hydry" you know as in left "high and dry"

  191. How about adding Criminal Minds, all 3 CSI's and Both NCIS shows instead of crap. Same movies and TV shows since Netflix started to stream content. Then I read articles that Netflix has spent alot of money on obtaining different content and pay a lot of money to obtain (which by the way our members fees will increase) but we will never see this content added for us to view.
