Hi, this note is from Paul Oeschger, Director of partner management. Best Buy has released two new Insignia Blu-ray players that instantly stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix. The models are the Insignia Advanced Series Blu-ray Player NS-WBRDVD, which has built in WiFi wireless networking, and the Insignia Connected Blu-ray Player NS-BRDVD3. Insignia brand products are exclusively available at Best Buy stores and through the Best Buy web site. Netflix members can use these products to play titles from their instant Queue, and they can browse titles by genre from personalized lists and then play those titles immediately or add them to their instant Queue for easy access later.

Great. Now will you fix Silverlight. Maybe if Microsoft can't fix the v-sync problems you should look elsewhere. I mean, it isn't like Microsoft is paying you to use Silverlight or anything. Right?

I looked all over for the best place to leave this but couldn't find a more relative article where the comments section hadn't been disabled. I love watching Netflix on both my computer and Xbox, mainly through my Xbox so that it comes up on the TV which is bigger than my laptop. I have no accumulated close to 400 titles in my instant queue and I have to say that the Netflix setup for instant queue viewing on the Xbox live is becoming ridiculous!!!!! I have to scroll through all the movies and TV shows just to find the one I want to watch. I like the feature that was added where there are suggestions based one watch you’ve recently watched, or suggestions in sci-fi, TV, romance, horror, etc. I think it would be excellent if my instant queue was broken up in such a manner; that way I would only have a few titles to scroll through in each genre because I do like the visual display of the current setup. So, without changing the overall look there needs to be some kind of modification to the Xbox live Netflix viewer that breaks the instant queue down into smaller sections because scrolling through hundreds of movies is annoying and ridiculous.

Hi Folks, Just remember you don't need any other device to instantly watch Netflix on TV! If you have a LCD or Plasma TV simply plug your desktop into your TV. If you have a tube TV (old style) you need a video card for your desktop to play on your TV. The last option has lower video quality.
This idea of buying equipment seems to be nothing more than a scam! And I love Netflix! What gives???
Can we get HD on the PC yet??
Any ideas when the 24fps issues will be fixed? I'm really tired of the judder artifacts when streaming on my PS3. My 24fps DVDs and blurays play correctly, and other people are having the same issue.
Judder really bugs me, so I've been sticking to streaming old TV shows only :(

If you have a tube TV (old style) you need a video card for your desktop to play on your TV.
Or you could just use this cable from amazon:

Is NetFlix bowing to the studios to get a cheaper rental rate and keep videos out of the consumers' hands for 30 days after the release? As both a NetFlix customer and a shareholder, I think this is a bad idea - short term gains for long term losses!
Potential Insignia Blu-ray player customers should know that it is easy to download firmware that will permit streaming of Netflix movies. All of that works just fine BUT the remote control does not have the functionality to allow you to pause, move forward or move backward once you're streaming the film. Best Buy seems to think this is a minor problem but to me it seems like having a car that works fine except that there's no steering wheel. It also seems to me that this issue would be of concern to Netflix as this lack of functionality devalues Netflix's product. Suggest potential buyers consider any other player than the Insignia. Note also that Insignia's outsourced tech support is awful -- their overseas staff know nothing about their products, even when they have a command of the language.
