Bravo, BRAVIA!
Come fall, Netflix members on any unlimited plan will be able to instantly watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix on Sony’s BRAVIA Internet Video-capable HDTVs and on previous BRAVIA models compatible with Sony’s BRAVIA Internet video link module. With BRAVIA, Sony joins a growing roster of world-class consumer electronics manufacturers providing Netflix ready devices -- Microsoft (Xbox360), LG Electronics, Roku, Samsung, TiVo, VIZIO.

This is closer. But where is the PS3 love. Why no love for the PS3. You know your all my PS3 can think about. I left it unattended yesterday for a while and when I came back it was browsing through you streaming library. It doesn't deserve this. Blockbuster has been emailing it non stop but it's saving it's self for you.

wwe on demand (bring to netflix , the tv on demand version with a combo of the wwe.com version but with close to or tv quality video)
also work a deal with wwe to bring wwe raw , smackdown, ecw and superstars on netflix a day after it airs on tv. But not edited like hulu does it.
and the last thing i promoise. tna wrestling on demand, they started an online on demand service much like starz on demand but for tna wrestling. that and weekly tna impact episodes would be nice.
it would be a major push for getting rid of cable. keep in mind wwe is number 1 for cable tv ratings.

What will it take to get closed captions on streaming video from Netflix? You would think this is a no brainer, but the Netflix website doesn't even provide an online way to communicate suggestions, and the Roku people say that they are only the medium, that Netflix controls the message. So: PLEASE MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE CLOSED CAPTIONS ON THE INSTANT VIEW VIDEO OF WHATEVER TYPE. Thanks.
Please add more old classic family TV to instant. My kids are loving watching Leave It to Beaver on instant and I know they would love Gilligans Island, Bewitched, Brady Bunch, My Three Sons etc. I know these are available on DVD but really are we ever going to get far enough down our que from newer movies to order a DVD of old TV that will take them a week to watch? Instant is a great place for old classic TV & movies. It would be nice if an occasional new release was available too though.
Is Netflix now working 6 days a week? For the first time today on a Saturday I note acknowledgement of receipt of a returned
DVD and note of shipment today of the next in queue. For that another Bravo.

Just adding my voice to the calls for PS3 support. I bought a PS3 for watching Blu-ray movies, and it would be fantastic if it could also stream Netflix instant movies as well!

I would like to know if Netflix plans to add more choices to their special interest category. I don't know if you are aware of an online rental service called smartflix.com but they have a vast selection for people who have hobbies and want instructional DVD's. I haven't subcribed to them because they want anywhere from 9.99 to 19.99 per week to rent their DVD and during these tough times, it's a bit steep. I would be more interested in this category if you had more to offer my special interest being sewing and crafts. I'm sure you have other customers with hobbies who may also want this as part of their membership with Netflix.

Though its obvious, I feel the need to add myself into the thousands of netflix customers who would like to ask for PS3 support. I mean...wtf Netflix? I never really cared up until you guys jumped over to silverlight. Now my full screen streaming life has been ruined. Please Netflix if you are not going to add PS3 support, please adapt Silverlight 3 into your player addon so that we can get hardware acceleration and continue to enjoy our online watching experience.

will netflix ever allow Mac PowerPC users to access the Netflix Instant play option? my laptop is old, so I can't watch anything instantly, which is quite unfortunate.

Why does it take so long for you to ship another DVD. My account shows you received my DVD on 7/11, I still have not received a DVD on 7/13; nor, does my account show you shipped one yet.

I really think Netflix should make everything streaming it makes the most sense, I'm not saying get rid of the mailing discs completely but those who do have the capability to stream Via Xbox 360 etc. Just think in the long run you will save money and people wont be able to copy the discs as much the more people who stream the less discs sent out meaning less discs lost stolen or copied and once you establish how many discs you need to buy after a few years meaning less spent on discs by you = bigger profit I would even be happy to pay an extra 2 dollars a month to have the option to watch every movie streaming it would be a good way to offer another service. I have no place else to go to contact someone at Netflix. My credit card is expiring and I've just updated my credit card information. However, the Netflix form will not accept the security code, and it's the correct one.
So what do I do? Netflix has made it impossible to contact anyone about these sorts of matters, completely insulating themselves from their users.

Under "Contact Customer Service" click on "other". I'm still amazed that finding NEW releases on Netflix is like pulling teeth. I'm not talking about DVDs you CALL "new releases". I'm talking about actual NEW RELEASES. I have to go to Blockbuster and find out what the new releases are, then search for them on your site. That is the only thing about Netflix that drives me up the wall. Why do you do that? It's like you don't want me to know what is new.
Over on the ROKU forums it has often been discussed that the instant view Queue suffers from a serious flaw.
That is that movies are only findable through a single queue structure. If you have an entire family that watches Instant View movies on Netflix, one has to scroll through the entire Queue to reach what you want to watch.
My family finds that it is usually a matter of browsing, not knowing what we want to watch before we start. Scrolling through iCarly and Drake and Josh episodes before finding the zombie selections can take a while. Browsing the Zombie selections before getting to the iCarly episodes is also Horrifying.
Watch Instantly is not a queue, it is a pool. It is a different model than the DVD delivery (which is a queue, all DVDs will be viewed in the order which the Queue delivers them).
We with the ROKU and probably all watch instantly devices would greatly appreciate this enhancement.

I would like to leave a comment on your website to help YOU, Netflix, and I cannot find an email address or comment form to fill out. I don't need or want to call on the phone or wait on hold. You ask for my interaction to "improve service", but you very much limit the ways in which I can do it.
My suggestion (in addition to providing a general comment form or email address for those of us who do not want to speak with a live person) is that that the survey emails you send include a comment box at the end "Thank You" website for additional input, if appropriate.
For instance, I just received a survey about the audio/video quality of a movie I streamed via TiVo. The audio/video quality was very good, but it also crashed my TiVo requiring the first reboot I have ever required on that system (in several years of use). I would have liked to annotate my answer with that information.

Another thing... Once I found a form (somewhere inside the Netflix site) where I suggested a movie that wasn't in the inventory. I never received any feedback and neither can find that form again. Where can I suggest movies you don't have? or Did it get eliminated?

I would love to see Netflix streaming to Panasonic VieraCast flat screens. The only option we currently have is Amazon.com. Although the interface/GUI is ok, the selections and pricepoints are not.
Netflix, please don't force me to buy a Netflix enabled TV. I really like your service and have no complaints with DVD/B-ray rentals.

I haven't had any problems so far with Netflix, but I have noticed that I have several movies in my Instant Queue and in my Streaming Queue, non of which I placed there. Does Netflix automatically put a movie in every available queue?
I tried to delete them but the update is greyed and useless.

Netflix, you suck. I just TRIED to watch a movie "instantly" and it took forever. The fact that i persisted is a testament to the film, not to you. There is no way to email you about any problem of this nature, I actually had to CALL and speak to someone that was more robotic than I ever thought possible in a customer service rep. Poor dude, where did you grow him?

Why does Netflix have no new movies? I went into Blockbuster the other day and saw dozens of movies not even available on Netflix. I download from my Samsung Bluray too, and most of my movies in my queue are not even available for download anymore. Is Netflix having legal problems getting new tiles, and even maintaining what they used to have access to? Is Neflix done?
Why is there no way that we can email you to request stocking a certain foreign title? I tried to navigate all over your site, to see if there is any way to email you. Apparently, if I wasn't writing about marketing, but only about customer service, the instructions said that I wouldn't receive a response. I resorted to trying to google any possible customer service email. All I found was this, but maybe you'll read it, and change your policies.

Just putting in another Request for Playstation 3 support. I'm current a Blockbuster customer, mostly for their in-store exchanges and because there is no additional charge for Blu-ray. Also I hear that it takes much longer for Netflix to send out movies. That said, I will Switch to Netflix the Day it offers PS3 support.

1) How do I send an email to Netflix? It is often easier to send a quick comment or question by email and there seems no way to do this. 99% of the time I'm not going to bother calling.
2) How can I change the default ratings so I see the customer average ratings of shows, not what Netflix thinks my rating would be?
I must be well off or something. I have have four different ways to watch streaming without even trying hard. I bought a Roku box because I liked the idea of a dedicated little box on my big TV, but I could also watch through my XBox 360, Windows or Intel iMac. You people need to get more marketable skills or something so you can afford more toys.
The Bravia Internet Videolink came with my HDTV; Amazon VOD isn't bad, so am looking forward to Netflix instant streaming to this device!

I would like Netflix to offer the documentary- For All Mankind-Criterion Collection [Blu-ray]. For that matter, I would like them to offer all Criterion Collection Dvds and Blu-rays.
One more thing. Please have Microsoft fix the vertical sync. issue with its silverlight player. Streaming movies on my computer would look pretty good except for that one problem.

Please post more information on this. I have no idea how I can use my Sony Bravia with instant viewing. Anything has to be better than what I see on my laptop. Really poor viewing. I have a cable to connect to my TV so I can use it as a laptop screen and the movie viewing that way is equally awful.

Come fall, you say? Guess what, guys? Fall came on September 22, 2009. A month and a half ago. And we're still waiting. And no one at Netflix or Sony has even bothered to offer an explanation.
This ranks right down there with Microsoft's customer support on the XBox 360.
Netflix now works on the PS3 and by the end of Novmeber Netflix will work on Sony tv's

It looks like its finally working after today's update!
Were others able to get it working? I can only browse right now - but I get a DRM error when I try to play something...exciting when it is fully functional!
I'm actually able to play some movies, but not all. Looking great! I think the Roku's picture is slightly better but time will tell.

yeah I got the DRM error the first time I tried to play something, right after the update, but a few minutes later it worked fine.

Working great. Now I can retire my Roku to the upstairs t.v. My wireless system now shows Netflix, and Pandora, and Sony
movies thru out the home!

Awesome... downloaded the update and Netflix works beautifully...
I downloaded the update yesterday for my Bravia KDL-46W5100 and got the screen confirming a succssful update. However, I did not see an activation code. And Netflix requires that I register the TV with an activation code. I called Netflix support...they told me to call Sony support. Called Sony support...guess what?...they told me to contact Netflix support.
Frustrated.

Same situation here: Downloaded the update, but Netflix icon still says "Coming in November." Anyone else having the same issue? Any intel on how to fix?

Tried to update the firmware on my Bravia Videolink attached to my KDL-W4600.
Then activated netflix from my account and played a foreign (Hindi) movie. First time it gave an error saying function not supported but worked the second time.
Seems cool.. :) Dont have to wait for the DVD's all the time now.
Just a suggestion to all those getting the "Coming in November" issue should restart their TV/Videolinks for the update to take effect.

Is anybody else getting their netflix in a tiny window? The first time I used it, it was fullscreen. Now it's just a little square in the middle of the screen.
I tried it after the firmware update and got the message "Channel is offline"
Anybody see taht error?
Got my 52z5100 working with Netflix streaming just fine. But the problem I'm having is that my internet speeds won't support HD streaming without video and audio sync problems and buffering delays. Its okay with non HD videos but I don't see where I can explicitly tell Netflix to download standard definition instead of downloading HD content.

use the top arrow of your remote....it will zoom out
and bottom arrow will zoom in.
Update from Frustrated, regarding my post on November 15.
After going through 3 different levels of Tech Support I finally was connected to a product engineer in San Diego. He immediatley suggested that I disconnect my Cisco bridge and make the Internet connection directly with CAT-5 cable. I did...worked almost instantly! I was able to get the device activation code from the Bravia, enter it into my Netflix account...Voila! It woiks!
So, the 4th Sony guy I talked to actually understood what was happening. The others simply read instructions from a computer screen.
It sounds like I'm in the same boat as many on here in that I have a Roku that I used before the Bravia Netflix widget went live.
So, something I've noticed is that when played using the Bravia, the Netflix video seems to skip a frame every 5-10 seconds. Subtle, but once you notice it, you can't miss it.
I should also say that my internet connection is more than fast enough to support HD. Also, if I play the same video on the Roku I don't see this (and never have seen it).
Anyone else out there with a similar experience.
