Hello movie fans,
It’s Catherine Fisher again and we are in phase two of the Netflix FIND Your Voice Film Competition – it’s time to vote for the film you think should be made and ultimately distributed on Netflix. We blogged about the contest back in January, but as a refresher, Netflix is working with Film Independent (FIND) in search of the next great independent filmmaker. In addition to a total prize value of $350,000, the winning film will premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2010, and it will be distributed through Netflix.
More than 2,000 applications were submitted, and now we are asking the public to vote on the 10 semifinalists’ three-minute videos at http://www.netflixfindyourvoice.com/. If you are a Facebook user, you can download an application that allows you to watch the semifinalists’ videos and vote on them from the Netflix fan page here. Once the votes are tallied, five finalists will be reviewed by our panel of judges, chaired by Josh Brolin. Voting ends on July 5th, so watch and vote today!

Yeah, like Netflix actually reads the responses. Anyone notice all the comments left about blu-ray price increase? Anyone see a response to that? Didn't think so.
Fortunately I put my account on hold and keep extending the hold date until they stop this ridiculous practice. So far, Blockbuster's service has worked out GREAT for me (and this from a long term NF subscriber who, until the NF increase, had not set foot in a BB store since being a member)

I think Netflix should win an award for the fastest nosedive in customer service in history. What's up with not being able to even make note of specific problems about DVDs or watch instantly streams anymore? Why is it that half the movies I try to watch instantly suddenly stop playing at a particular scene no matter how many times I reload them... and there's no way to make specific note of that? Why are half my movies now on some kind of wait... and I don't just mean new releases? Why did a half dozen of them suddenly become "unavailable" this week? Why so many damaged disks? Why do I get the feeling that Netflix is becoming a victim of it's own success?
I've been a subscriber since Netflix started up. I was probably one of the first thousand people to subscribe. I'm seriously considering canceling.
Not that anyone cares at Netflix anymore.
Why was I able to watch instantly with no problem and now I'm being asked to install Microsoft Silverlight?

Hi. This blog is the only way I found to contact you. It's for a positive thing.
I canceld my Netflix account. because I'm moving back to France. When you cancel your Netflix account, there is an inquiry at the end trying to understand why you left, which is quit ecommon and smart. But I couldn't say that I was very very happy with Netflix, that I would recommand it to everyone and that I love you ;-). It was only horrible stuff.
So, you should just add a square where people can write extra reasons.
And you'd probably leave and email address, not only the Help thing, where we can simply write, even if you don't read it, it gives the feeling that it's done.
Sorry to spam this blog with that but i HAD to say it ;-)

1. Netflix needs to let people have as many DVD's on their list as they want. BTW, BLOCKBUSTER allows this.
2. Not happy with $5 extra for Blu-Ray movies - Blockbuster has that FREE.
