Nickname update
A few of you have suggested you're having problems with your nickname updating. Can more of you chime in here? (And if you're in the mood to be really helpful, let us know what OS and browser you're using.)

I try to update my nickname(back to my old one) and it sez ""you've updated ...takes up to 24 hrs...". but 24 to 48 hours later, still no nuckname, and a new initials/random number.
I use Win XP Home and the latest version of IE, which I think is 7.
eviltimes: might i ask what nickname you were trying to upload? anything *strange* about it? odd characters? particularly long? the word "netflix"? or was it "eviltimes"?
micheal, I would like to privately send you that information, not in a public forum.

actually I was trying to use my old nickname, just "name" from "state". so it couldn't be considered anything bad.
ahh... when we switched on the new nicknames page, we disabled the word "from" temporarily. it hasn't been turned back on (it will be), but that's the problem that was affecting you. not your fault. our apology.
